This is a blog about the plants that live in cities. It updates on Mondays.

This blog mostly focuses on the northeastern US (though many of the plants can also be found elsewhere). It’s aimed at people who are interested in learning more about their local urban environment, whether or not they’re experienced with plants.

I’ll include some natural history, cultural history, and identification tips, along with photos of plants that I’ve hunted down in my neighborhood.

I’m a field naturalist. I’d love to hear from other urban plant enthusiasts, if only so I can feel less weird when I bump into a telephone pole because I’m staring up at a street tree. You can email me at rmosco@gmail.com.
